I'd just like to add that I'd set it up ages ago that as soon as a new SIRF version is released, a Zenodo DOI will be created. It looks like we've never actually released SIRF though so I just did.

The perma-link (to current and all future zenodo releases) is https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.2707911 which we may want to start sharing/citing.

It would be great to add the following to the release checklists (for non-candidate-releases):
