I've admired the French director Claire Denis for years but was wary of this film and put off seeing it till perhaps its last screening within my geographic range. On the other hand, she (& a frequent collaborator) did write the scenario in English for the first time. There was enough multi-voiced diction for the acrostic & I to work with & complete.
