The first meeting of our Action Learning Set on Practical Problem Management<https://www.m25lib.ac.uk/events/tg4-08_problem/>, will be taking place on the 5th June. The registration fee covers attendance at all four meetings, and places are limited so please register early. Participants will benefit from working on real problems in a confidential and empowering environment, and develop a network of peers to call upon for support. Practical Problem Management in an Action Learning Set<https://www.m25lib.ac.uk/events/tg4-08_problem/> 5 June 2019 As part of a small group of peers, you will be able to address the current challenges you face, be encouraged to find your own solutions to problems through insightful questioning, within a supportive group. Influencing Others<https://www.m25lib.ac.uk/events/influencing-others-tg4-influence/> 11 June 2019 This half day workshop offers tips and techniques on how to influence people, providing a balance between theory and practice. The training will give you a toolkit that can be used in negotiation and you will be introduced to the latest research and best practices in the field. This event aims to show different ways we can gather student perspectives and use the feedback. Annual SLA Conference<https://www.m25lib.ac.uk/events/sla-conference-2019-tg4-sla19/> 19 June 2019 The focus of this year's event is on supporting staff well-being. This event is open to all, but would benefit in particular Senior Library Assistants, Information Services Supervisors, Library Assistants, Information Assistants or their equivalent. Marketing Library Services [ASPECTS9_Marketing]<https://www.m25lib.ac.uk/events/aspects9_marketing/> 30 May 2019 - 14:00- 16:00 This workshop will give participants an insight into key aspects of marketing within academic libraries and will include examples of marketing and promotions in practice. Plan S requires that, from 2020, scientific publications that result from research funded by public grants must be published in compliant Open Access journals or platforms. Directors and Heads of Service (from both within and without the M25 Consortium) are invited to attend. Directors should feel free to send a deputy if unable to attend themselves.
