4 June - Do you want to ensure effective AND economical marketing communications?
BOOK NOW<https://www.cilip.org.uk/page/Marketing2019_home>
Library and information services rarely have large budgets to commission marketing communications. Given the increasing complexity of digital and non-digital channels, there is a need to understand the options and to make good 'quick win' choices within limited budgets.
CILIP's training workshop, led by Terry Kendrick, offers key principles in the morning, drawing out powerful insights for library and information contexts. While the morning will be interactive, the afternoon will be even more practical with a series of group exercises to develop and challenge marketing communications.
This training day is for staff who have some marketing responsibility or interest within their role and who wish to develop economical, yet highly effective, communications with user or non-user groups.
By the end of the day delegates will have:

  * An overview of key principles of effective marketing communications
  * Reflected upon the application to their workplace activities
  * Tools and techniques to help devise and implement effective marketing communications
  * Received advice on integrated and planned marketing communications and the challenges of implementation
  * Shared current marketing communication issues with other delegates
  * Undertaken practical exercises to implement these insights in library and information contexts
