Hi,

We don’t have any specific tools to remove the nose and eyes but you could do this by registration of a whole-head image to the MNI template and then take a mask from the MNI space that covers the nose and eyes into the original image space and then use that to remove these.

I hope that helps.
All the best,
Mark

This is the image of the nose-stripping that I want to perform, previously didn't go through due to the file size limit of the email. Thanks!

Subject: [FSL] FSL Initial Preprocessing Question

Hi FSL Listserv Community,

I came across a question on the FSL preprocessing pipeline. I would like to know how I can remove redundant tissues such as the eyes and nosein the brain MRI before running BET on it, as in the attached images. I am only aware of the robustfov procedure which removes the neck, not the nose.

Thanks for pointers and suggestions!

Sincerely,
Yi Fung
