Hi Karen,

The structures supported by FIRST were hand-labelled in 336 T1 images.
For each structure, a 3D mesh representation was generated, along with
the variation across all of the subjects at each vertex.

These 3D meshes (which can be found in
$FSLDIR/data/first/models_336_bin/) are used as the basis for the
FIRST segmentations. So they are effectively the "atlas" used by FIRST
to drive the segmentation.
