We would particularly welcome applications from those with research expertise in the following areas: Specialist knowledge in one of the following areas: decolonial or southern perspectives; digital criminology; critical psychosocial criminology; critical disability and/or mental health; race, racism and crime/criminal justice; urban criminology (especially issues of gentrification and poverty and urban disorder and social control); prisons and prison abolition; political economy; state crime; media/social media and culture.

Candidates should have completed or be near to completion of a PhD (or equivalent qualification) and show evidence of published research or exceptional potential. All academic staff within the Department are required (subject to assigned duties) to contribute to teaching, scholarship, and published research relating to both undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, as well as to undertake effectively their assigned administrative duties.
