A project with international collaboration that we recently supported approached this by developing the DMP in a manner that ensured that everyone has had a chance to give input and by making sure that there is a +/- formal agreement in place that everyone has read and understood the DMP and will follow it. There was a clear statement at the start of the document that clarified that each collaborator would be responsible to adhere what was laid out below.

 

This would mean that there are sections in the DMP that refer to data collected/ dealt with in one region and sections that specify how data collected/ dealt with in another region will be dealt with to ensure the same standards are achieved with the infrastructure (and terminology) available in either region.
