EBSCO Information Services will Supply Print and Online Journals and E-Journal Packages to UK’s Largest Regional Purchasing Group
EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) will continue to be an approved supplier for print and online periodicals for the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC) as a result of a new Joint-consortia agreement for the provision of Serials, Periodicals and associated services.
EBSCO has been supplying periodicals to this group of member libraries since 1996 and under the new agreement, EBSCO will continue to provide its journal services to academic libraries previously covered by the regional purchasing groups: University Purchasing Consortia SUPC, LUPC, HEPCW, NEUPC and NWUPC and Academic Library Consortia NEYAL, MUAL, NoWAL and WHELF for a period of up to four years.
Gareth Smith, EBSCO Vice President of Sales, UK & Ireland, says that EBSCO’s financial stability, along with its history of working with these purchasing groups, make this agreement mutually beneficial. “EBSCO strives to provide libraries with the resources they need, when and where they need it. We look forward to working with SUPC in delivering high-quality and efficient services to their members and to continue to deliver these essential resources over the next four years.”
