Hull Culture and Leisure Limited is seeking to procure the services of a contractor to carry out access assessments and generate access reports and implementation plans that refer to the physical, intellectual,
sensory, social, geographical, cultural, financial, technological and attitudinal access to our collections, programming and buildings.
This work is to take place across our six city centre based museums as follows:
This piece of work must include the following elements:
•
Facilitated consultation session with individuals, local focus groups, advocacy groups and support organisations representing current and potential diverse audiences
•
Consultation with existing diverse museum audiences
•
Onsite, independent contractor assessment and observation of access for users at the museums sites.
•
Access reports for all six sites outlining key consultation findings, observations, assessments & recommendations in line with Hull Museums priorities
•
Implementation plans for all six sites setting out requirements for implementation of key recommendations with proposed timescales, recommended resource and indicative costs.
•
Provide feedback on key findings and recommendations to our local focus groups, advocacy groups, experts and agencies.
•
Review of our new Access and Inclusion Policy
and Equality Action Plan to ensure the key findings and recommendations from the work are fully embedded.
•
Present the key findings, recommendations and implementation plans to our Senior Management Team and Access and Inclusion Group.
The provider must allow for a minimum of:
•
6 x separate days onsite in Hull, expenses to be included in the amount above, for meetings with contract manager and focus groups and feedback and presentation.
•
In addition, onsite, independent contractor assessments and observations of access for visitors at each of the six museum sites.
