The Hertfordshire Business School, University of Hertfordshire is seeking to appoint subject external examiners (undergraduate and postgraduate) to cover a range of Marketing related modules with duties only at module board level, as follows:

1) Advertising and Digital Communications - Undergraduate:
Level 6: Advertising Strategy, PR Strategy, Agency Relations, Web Analytics & Social Media Monitoring
Level 5: Advertising Concepts and Campaigns, PR Concepts and Campaigns, Digital Marketing in Practice, Creativity in Advertising, Marketing for the Creative and Cultural Industries

2) Marketing and Enterprise - Undergraduate:

Level 6: Contemporary Issues in Marketing, Advanced Marketing Integrated Project, Small Business Management, Strategic Brand Management

Level 5: Product Innovation, Product Innovation (International), Enterprise, European Consumer Markets and Trends, Enhancing Employability in Marketing

3) Marketing and Enterprise - Postgraduate:

MBA:    Strategic Marketing and Communications (Sem A and SemB), Entrepreneurship and Enterprise (SemA and SemB)

MSc:     Managing Small Business (only for one academic year), Intrapreneurship and Enterprise (only for one academic year), Competing Through Marketing (Sem A and SemB), Understanding Consumers and Markets, Strategic Brand Planning and Development, Marketing Insight, Analysis and Development

Successful applicants would be appointed in May/June and start in September 2019 for a term of four years.

External Examiners duties include moderation of assignment briefs and student work, attendance at the boards, completion of an annual report.  All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners. The successful candidate, ideally, will have previous experience as an External Examiner within the discipline along with relevant HE experience, at the appropriate level. However, candidates new to external examining but with relevant subject expertise are welcome, for them, attendance at the Professional development course for External Examiner organised by HE Advance (formerly known as the Higher Education Academy) is an advantage.
