“Another note on the prose poem”

being my attempt to sort out and bring some sense to all the fuss and confusion about the prose poem which has been going on for too long: to reach a workable definition, to discourage “poetical prose” from sprouting up in the middle of novels, prose books winning poetry prizes… and to correct the history: the lineage of the prose poem is dominantly French.

Concludes with an account of The Little Book of Passage by Franca Mancinelli translated by John Taylor, a particularly persuasive set of prose poems

Also new or if not there should get there soon, new poems by Jesse Glass, Laura Potts, James Bullion, Seth Canner
