The Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, an educational charity affiliated to Yale University, is seeking an experienced qualified librarian to catalogue the library of the art historian and art collector, Adolph Paul Oppé (1878-1957). The Library was allocated to the Paul Mellon Centre under the Acceptance-in-Lieu scheme in 2017. The post holder will be part of a small team working in the Centre’s Research Collections. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience cataloguing historic book collections and have excellent organisational and communication skills. Location: Bloomsbury, Central London Salary: £30,000 to £33,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. Contract: 9-month fixed term full-time contract starting in July 2019. The Centre would consider offering the post as a secondment. Hours: 35 per week.
