Post-baccalaureate research assistant with fMRI data analysis experience

 

The Eating Disorder Clinical and Research and Program and Neuroendocrine Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School is seeking a research assistant with fMRI data preprocessing and analysis experience for a spring or summer start date. The research assistant will join a multi-disciplinary translational research group to understand neurobiological and neuroendocrine alterations in eating disorders and obesity. The research assistant will work alongside a team of psychologists, cognitive neuroscientists, endocrinologists and bionutritionists editing and running SPM12-based scripts and workflows for neuroimaging pipelines and managing our behavioral and endocrine databases. Motivated individuals will have the opportunity to take advantage to co-author research publications and presentation in their own areas of interest and in ongoing projects in the lab.

 

Our lab staff typically go on to excellent research positions, PhDs, and/or MDs.

 

The successful candidate will have a bachelors degree in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, or a related field, and at least 1-year experience working in a research lab with neuroimaging using SPM. Strong computer, statistical, and managerial skills are essential. In addition, the successful candidate must be highly attentive to details, have excellent interpersonal skills, be capable of working independently as well as with others in a complex, demanding, and exciting research environment.
