Hi Laura,
Here at Glasgow Science Centre we are in the midst of writing several stories which explore all of these themes in some way. They'll be distributed as digital resources for teachers as part of an Erasmus+ project later in the year.
Id be more than happy to share these when they are finished, with anyone who would be interested.
The protagonists of the stories are all based on real life scientists currently active in academia and industry.

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Books challenging stereotypes of scientists
Hi Hive Mind,
UWE Science Communication Unit and Curiosity Connections Bristol are linking to Bristol Reading City, and we would like to promote books which challenge stereotypes of who scientists are, or what they do. Were aiming at kids of all ages, from birth to 18. We know about:
- Rosie Revere Engineer
- Ada Twist Scientist
- Iggy Peck Architect
- Bedtime Stories for Rebel Girls/Boys
- The famous women series e.g. Marie Curie
We wondered if people have other suggestions. This could include:
- Women/girls as protagonists (i.e. doing things in a story, not being a bystander or helper)
- Scientists not wearing white coats
- People from other ethnicities
- Books demonstrating curiosity, and not giving up after failure.
