The British Science Association (BSA) is a charity founded in 1831, established under Royal Charter. Our vision is of a world where science is at the heart of society and culture, and our mission is to transform the diversity and inclusivity of science, reach under-served audiences, and increase the number of people who are actively engaged and involved in science.

We are looking to recruit a talented and organised Engagement Officer to help us implement our vision and strategy. Details of our vision can be found here. The Association has a reputation for high-profile science engagement events including British Science Week, the British Science Festival and the Huxley Summit. This role will support the Engagement team to deliver the British Science Festival and play a key role in co-ordinating the UK Science Festivals Network.

The successful candidate will sit within the Engagement Team but work with colleagues from across the organisation. This role would suit someone with an interest in public engagement with science and at least six-months’ experience working with festivals and/or events, in either a voluntary or paid capacity.
