The OR Society is inviting interested parties to submit their CVs for consideration to join the editorial team for the society’s Health Systems journal (HS).

This journal promotes the idea that all aspects of health and healthcare delivery can be viewed from a systems perspective. The journal is currently co-edited jointly by Sally Brailsford, Paul Harper, Cynthia LeRouge and Nelson King, splitting the responsibilities equally between operational research and information systems. There is a team of over twenty-five area editors in place.

Sally Brailsford will be stepping down from her responsibilities in the coming months and we’re seeking a suitable replacement.

The selected editor will be expected to have worked in the field of the journal’s interest, be able to embrace both the theoretical and practical aspects of OR and be able to incorporate both soft and hard OR. The editor should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the journal’s aims and have constructive ideas on its future development to meet the challenges and needs of the subject and the Society.

The appointment is for an initial period to the end of 2021, potentially renewable beyond that. There are plans for a transitional period. An honorarium is paid to the editor(s).

Articles are submitted to and managed through ScholarOne.

Please send your CV with a covering letter to Gavin Blackett, Secretary & General Manager at [log in to unmask]. The deadline for expressions of interest is 31 May 2019.

Regards

Gavin
