Having woken to news of the devastating attacks in New Zealand, I would like to think that rather than a teachable moment, and an opportunity for self promotion, that we as a community are able to put our academic ambitions aside and remember the people who have lost their lives and the loved ones they leave behind.

I would like to think that the list is also a space where we can send our thoughts and sympathies to our friends and colleagues at this terrible point in time.
