A vacancy has arisen in the Resource Acquisitions & Digital Access team at the University of Warwick Library. We are looking to recruit to the post of Resources Officer (Acquisitions & Reading Lists). The key information is as follows:

Vacancy Overview:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the University of Warwick Library's Resource Acquisitions & Digital Access (RADA) Team to work on the Acquisition of print and electronic books for the University's Reading Lists, as well as developing the Library's collections. You will jointly supervise a team of Library Assistants who work on a variety of tasks including ordering the books and inputting/reviewing Reading Lists.

This post would suit an enthusiastic individual and offers the chance to gain valuable experience of the Acquisitions and Reading List process while working with different colleagues both within the Library and the wider University. As well as colleagues within RADA you will work with the subject specialist Academic Support Librarians, the Library Resource Delivery team (for scanning requests) and academic departments from across the University.

The successful candidate will be working towards or in possession of a recognised qualification in Librarianship / Information Management or have recent relevant experience. You will also have experience of procurement of Library materials, of working with Reading Lists and of managing teams of administrative / clerical staff in an office environment. You will be able to demonstrate a customer-focussed and flexible approach with a good level of computer literacy, as well as excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and the ability to handle competing demands and priorities whilst remaining focused.

Interview Date: Week Commencing Monday 8th April
Closing Date: Sunday 31st March
Permanent, Full-Time Position
36.5 hours per week (100% FTE)
Salary: £22,017 - £25,482 per annum
