Dear All

I am knitting my granddaughters some little tank-tops & it reminded me that my mother, born in Sudetenland in 1921, used to call this garment a 'spencerle' (or spenserle? Spencerle?). has anybody heard this term or do you know what it might derive from? There's nothing in google (at least Anglophone google).

Thanks for any thoughts,
Naomi
