The University of Melbourne is seeking a Data Curator (Research Domain Digital Stewardship Specialist) <http://jobs.staff.unimelb.edu.au/ci/en/job/899273/data-curator-research-domain-stewardship-specialist>.
This role will be committed to maintaining and improving the University’s data capabilities and to ensuring the best possible services to the research and scholarly community. The Data Curator
will undertake operational and support activities, contribute to skills development and training, as well as investigative, improvement, development and project-based activities to advance strategic objectives in research data identification, management, curation,
and preservation.
The Data Curator will work closely with existing capability in digital curation, digital preservation, and research data management experts, and will be part of coordinated program planning, delivery,
evaluation and reporting, aligned with the strategic initiatives of Data Stewardship, Digital Preservation and the Petascale Campus. The role will support the implementation of digital preservation at the University of Melbourne as an integrated part of the
University operational capabilities in digital assets management, research data management and digital collections. This will involve aiding in the implementation of policies, procedures, central and domain specific guidance, and supporting governance for
responsible digital asset management, including research data and records, and high-value collections.
