We have a great opportunity for a Communications Executive to join the Society for Endocrinology office in Bristol.

This is a really varied role where you can get involved with both proactive and reactive media relations, as well as producing a wide range of digital communications for diverse audiences.

Here are just a few examples of how diverse the role is:

• Liaising with senior academics and other press offices to help journalists write accurate and responsible health-related stories
• Writing press releases for studies published in our in-house journals
• Designing infographics to run social media campaigns on awareness days like Rare Disease Day/World Obesity Day
• Interviewing leading scientists and clinicians to create engaging content
• Creating and compiling emails to engage members with Society activities and events
• Running the Press Office at national and international conferences to promote scientific content to the media
• …and much more!

We are a very friendly team and you will have the opportunity to work across the entire organisation. From a professional development point of view, the Society regularly offers opportunities to hone your skills. You really get as much out of this role as you put in; there is a lot of potential for a driven individual to make their mark here.

Finally, Bristol is a fantastic city, there is always something fun going on. The city really is a quirky, cultural hub of activity, so you’ll find plenty to do in your free time.

The role is fixed term for 12 months, salary is circa £25k per year, application deadline is Monday 11 March 2019.
