Beyond Visual Stereotypes: A Symposium on Media and the Middle East 


We welcome you to our symposium on media representations and the Middle East. The day will be filled with talks, a workshop on the "Riz Test", and panel discussions. We will end the day with a screening of award-winning Iranian director Asghar Farhadi's film About Elly (2009). Moving beyond visual stereotypes, we invite you to join us in thinking about and challenging media representations.
