Good morning everyone, The Near Surface Geophysics Group is pleased to announce our 2019 Postgraduate Research Symposium. All details are in the attached flyer and also accessible through our sparkling new website<http://www.nsgg.org.uk/2018/2019/02/17/nsgg-postgraduate-research-symposium-2019/>, but the greatest hits are as follows: - Date and venue: Friday 17th May, at the NSGG Geophysical Test Site (Stoughton Road, Oadby, Leicester<http://www.nsgg.org.uk/2018/geophysics-test-sites/>) - Registration: £20 standard rate, £15 students and concessions (note that registering for this event also registers you for the Geophysics Field Exhibition<http://www.nsgg.org.uk/2018/2019/02/17/nsgg-field-exhibition-2019/> on the 16th May - stick around for both meetings!). Lunch is generously sponsored by RSK. - Theme: Abstracts are solicited from any postgraduate researcher using geophysics in a near-surface setting - be this for environmental, engineering, archaeological, forensic... etc! ... applications. - Submission process: Submit a 500-word abstract, plus 1 optional figure, to Adam Booth ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) by 17:00 on Friday 19th April, with a request for oral or poster presentation format.
