Morning Faith and Gemmers,

I recently was asked of my views of the same query ( BC / AD ,  which century, period such as Roman period) but never heard of the term’ MYA’!

Would you care to enlighten more about this term?

Regards,

Martin

Morning all

I'm doing a town timeline and an issue has come up with dating terminology. Currently we have 120,000,000 BC, 5,000 BC, 43 AD, 660 AD, then 820, 1066, without 'AD'.

My question is, if I change BC to MYA and just put in the first 'AD' will people understand MYA? Should I drop AD altogether? Does anyone know if there is current recommended practice on this?

Kind regards,

Faith Carpenter MA
