This
new 4-week course offered by Prof. John Vevekra, Director of the Heritage
Interpretation Training Center for the Northern State Conservation Center,
focuses on exploring the research into what interpretive program or experience
topics visitors want vs. the programs you may offer that they have little or no
interest in.
The course looks at research into visitor motivations for interpretive program topic and delivery preferences, how to develop your
own visitor survey research, looking at the Experience Economy and Markets of One strategies to
expand your programs and experiences offerings to different market groups, and finally to
review your marketing plan and brochures to better reach visitors to tell them about
your new offerings.
