Dear FSL experts, 

in the FEAT user guide Anova testing for 1 factor and 4 levels (image attached) includes contrasts 1 to 3.  How do these contrasts differ from an unpaired t-test between the groups?  For example, how does A-D in the attached model, differ from an unpaired t-test model between A and D?
