Ulster University seeks expressions of interest from an External Examiner for a Foundation degree delivered by a partner FE College and validated by the University, starting from September 2019. 

External Examiner for the FdSc in Property Planning and Housing (Belfast Metropolitan College)

The courses comprises the following modules (levels 4 and 5):

   Introduction to Housing Studies
   Planning Policy & Practice
   Development Process
   Building Technology
   Design Principles
   Property Measurement and CAD
   Valuation Principles and the Economy
   Work-based Learning 
   Law
   Sustainable Development
   Group Project
   Spatial Analysis
   Valuation 2

The Board of Examiners is held in the partner college in June. The campus is accessible from the Belfast Airports, as well as from Dublin and City of Derry, and the External Examiner will be required to visit at least once a year. 

Nominees should be employed at at least Senior Lecturer level, with a current knowledge of working in UK Higher Education, an understanding of the expectations for UK academic programmes at Foundation degree level, knowledge of the subject area of Property Planning and Housing, and membership of the HEA.
