Just a heads up that the Sociology Department at Queen's University, will have an unusually scheduled job advertisement soon for a position that could start July 1st 2019 (ideally) or January 1st 2020. The deadline for application is likely to be March 1st for interviews scheduled in April.

This will be a tenure-track position in "the Future of Work", with a specialism in digital media / new technologies, with an emphasis on critical perspectives (indigenous, gender, race, class etc.) and can teach on contemporary capitalism. Although this is not an explicitly surveillance studies position, any recent PhDs / early career scholars who are part of the surveillance studies community, and who specialize in work, the workplace or labour, would be very welcome to apply. Please note that a sociology background is essential.

I'll post the actual job advertisement when it is approved, but those pontentially interested can contact me if you have any questions and I'll try my best to answer.
