Please find enclosed information about a job opportunity at the Firing Line Museum.

Learning Officer (Part time, permanent)

The Firing Line Museum is looking to recruit a part-time, permanent learning officer to develop, implement and to help deliver learning and engagement programmes at the museum.

Firing Line, Museum of 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards and The Royal Welsh commemorates the Welsh Soldier over a period of 300 years; a time which saw ordinary Welshmen travel the world, carrying out military service at battles such as Waterloo (1815) and Rorke’s Drift (1879) and more recently in Iraq and Afghanistan.

If you are enthusiastic and confident with experience of developing learning programmes and working with communities then we would love to hear from you.

You will have excellent communication skills, an understanding of how people learn and knowledge of funding opportunities and different evaluation techniques.

Working within a small but dedicated team you will be responsible for the delivery of formal and informal learning sessions to audiences of all ages and creating exciting and fun opportunities for engagement with our collections.

You will need to be flexible, often working evenings and weekends, and ideally have access to a vehicle.

A DBS check will be carried out upon offer of employment.

Closing Date: 25th January 2019

Interview Date: Thursday 31st January 2019
