The Heritage & Cultural Exchange (HCE) is a newly formed organisation based in Butetown, Cardiff. It’s aims are:
1. To promote the history and heritage and multi-ethnic Wales to the general public by
a) working with local communities and diasporas and
b) using industrial, maritime and transport heritage as a conduit.
2. To collaborate with other groups in making information regarding the social, cultural and economic history of Cardiff docklands available to the general public
3. To be a significant resource in Wales for multi-cultural and inter-cultural education and education generally
Following a successful application to the HLF, HCE are seeking a Community Collections Officer or Consultant to lead the work of organising and cataloguing the material in their
collection to make sure it is preserved for the future, available for people to look at and useable.
