Hi Katherine,

Have a look at Marie Manidis thesis – from UTS. Her focus was health communication in ERs, but her background is in communication, rather than design. https://scholar.google.com.au/citations?user=WZ_ePPMAAAAJ&hl=en <https://scholar.google.com.au/citations?user=WZ_ePPMAAAAJ&hl=en>

You can also look at Rick Iedema’s work – he’s Professor of Healthcare Innovation at the University of Tasmania and has a dual appointment with the NSW Ministry of Health's Agency for Clinical Innovation. He has done a lot of work on health communication, using video ethnography as the research methodology. https://scholar.google.com.au/citations?hl=en&user=qs2TbRUAAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate <https://scholar.google.com.au/citations?hl=en&user=qs2TbRUAAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate>

All the best,
teena

>>> Has anyone on the list published on design interventions to improve healthcare communication specifically in hospital emergency rooms? Would you reply to highlight your research?
