Hi Yvonne,
This may not be
relevant to the sort of sponsorship you are seeking, if its
simply to do with hardware, but I'd also caution you to think
about the sustainability of whatever arrangements you go into.
Nothing's guaranteed, of course, but I have found on more than
one occasion that some partnerships can pivot on one individual
at the commercial partner. If and when that person leaves or
changes role, which seems to be common enough at behemoths like
Apple or Google, the museum can find it hard to get anything
done. That's made worse if you have the same situation on your side of a single
lynchpin person, although at least that's more under your
control! So, at least if you're thinking about seeking support
to provide any kind of software or hosted service, do try to
ensure that your agreements establish an adequate duration for the arrangement and
communication channels that will always be open for supporting
it. It probably goes for hardware too, to be honest: generous as
it might appear, I wouldn't be inclined to accept an offer to
donate hardware if it doesn't come with some sort of explicit agreement about what
happens if it goes wrong.
All the best,
Jeremy

I guess it would be quite a challenge to have Apple, Samsung or similar on board. My recommendation is to try a smaller “player” that needs to get traction in the market.
We developed an immersive self-guided tour for a Visitor Attraction and they managed to get a sponsorship to all digital devices. As this is not relevant for the group, if you need more info drop me an email.
Kind regards,
Francis

Hello all. As we are in the process of equipping the Hub of our heritage project, I wonder if anyone has experience of getting sponsorship from someone like Apple, to supply equipment such as computers or IPads.
Thanks Yvonne
