Dear Susan,

We hope that you had a restful break and are having a happy and healthy start to 2019.

This month we have 13 amazing opportunities for the children, young people and families you work with. If you run children's or young people's reading groups, there are numerous, exciting books (in sets of 10) for you to pitch for. There are also six publisher provided POS and activity packs to help you run fun and creative events. Please read through all of the information about the offers to see if you would like to get involved.

The next newsletter will be sent on 7 February and will include more free resources and books for children and young people.

We're on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

We hope you have a relaxing weekend,

Children's team

Read and Reviews

Chatterbooks Read and Review opportunities are a chance for you to receive 10 copies of a brilliant, new children's book. All your group has to do is create a display in your library (usually) and write their own reviews (always). The books are then yours to keep! We have four fabulous books available, all with engaging stories that are great for discussions. Click on each title below to find out more information.
  • A Pinch of Magic is the exciting new magical adventure from award-winning author of The Thirteen Treasures, Michelle Harrison. Find out more here.
  • To Night Owl from Dogfish is a heartwarming book about two very different 12-year-old girls who have nothing in common except that their dads are dating each other. Find out more here.
  • What a Waste is a book about rubbish, recycling and protecting our planet. It’s by Jess French, the presenter for Minibeast Adventure with Jess and will be a topical discussion starter. Find out more here.
  • Wizard vs. Lizard is the funny first book in a brand new, illustrated fiction series by Simon Philip and Sheena Dempsey. It's about Fred who is absolutely, completely, embarrassingly terrible at magic. Find out more here.
Please note that you may be successful for every Read and Review opportunity that you apply for. Therefore only apply for more than one offer if you have a sufficient number of groups to read the books by the specified dates.
