Dear all,

You may have heard that our MELA community convened a digital scholarship interest group at this year's annual meeting in San Antonio

The Middle East Librarians Association Digital Scholarship Interest Group (MELA DSIG) is focused on supporting our community of colleagues working in MENA librarianship as we engage with digital humanities / digital scholarship.

Led by a steering committee, our aim is to foster a community of practice around partnering on and initiating digital scholarship projects and to together explore and pursue a better understanding of the role that we as specialists working in MENA librarianship play in digital scholarship work.

Participation in the interest group is open to all interested. Please feel free to join by subscribing to the following group

https://groups.google.com/d/forum/mela-dsig

More details from the steering committee as our work takes shape.

In the meantime, please feel free to utilize the group to discuss questions, share opportunities for training, projects of interest, and so forth

Warm wishes
Evyn Kropf (chair, MELA DSIG steering committee)
