The University of Liverpool is currently seeking to appoint a Head of Department and Chair in Modern Languages and Cultures. The role of Head of Department will be for 5 years initially and will be offered in combination with a permanent post at Professorial level. Details of the vacancy are provided here:

The Department of Modern Languages currently comprises over forty academic staff, covering French Studies, Iberian and Latin American Studies, Italian Studies, Chinese Studies and FIlm Studies. Our thriving research covers the whole chronological field, from medieval to contemporary studies and all intersecting areas of literature and culture, including history, film, theory, politics and linguistics.
