Dear all,
Following the success of GASS2018 we would like to invite you to register for the Geologists’ Association Student Symposium (GASS2019) on 17th May 2019 at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London . This symposium, organised by the
Geologists’ Association aims to provide a platform to showcase exciting and societally relevant student research and offer students a chance to communicate their science to a broad audience, ranging from their peers, to academics, policy makers, industry
professionals and the general public. Last year’s conference featured some extremely high quality talks and posters, some of which you can view here-

The topic of this year’s symposium is “Geological solutions to global challenges; What difference does your research make?”
We encourage abstract submissions from undergraduate and postgraduate students from a broad range of geoscience topics (or those recently graduated), with a focus on why your research matters to society. Abstract submission is open until
22nd March 2019 and some financial support for travel and accommodation expenses for presenters is available.
Registration for the day symposium is £15 for students or £30 for non-students. This will include refreshments during coffee breaks and a wine reception.

Please encourage your students to attend what will be a fascinating celebration of geoscience and science communication. Academics, industry professionals and enthusiastic amateurs are also encouraged to attend!
