18th International Medical Geography Symposium 2019

Abstract Submission and Early Bird Registration Deadline: 8th February, 2019

We are very excited host the 18th International Medical Geography Symposium (IMGS) in New Zealand from 30 June to 5 July, 2019. The IMGS is the main meeting ground for health geographers across the English-speaking world along with interested researchers from other disciplines. The IMGS 2019 will be held at the Heritage Hotel in Queenstown, located amongst the Southern Alps in New Zealand’s South Island. The stunning Lake Wakatipu is a fitting backdrop for our conference theme New Directions, Enlarging Our World. The organising committee welcomes all individuals interested in environmental health, health policy, urban and rural health, global health, health equity, public health, and relevant research methods to join us in Queenstown June 30th to July 5th, 2019.

We welcome abstract submissions; the deadline for abstract submissions and earlybird registration is the 8th of February, 2019. Researchers, writers and scholars at all stages of their careers are invited to submit proposals for presentations at the 18thInternational Medical Geography Symposium. We particularly welcome diverse approaches to conventional fields of medical and health geography through new methodological and theoretical perspectives on health and wellbeing as well as interdisciplinary insights into people/place/space relationships.
