The *University of Keele* and *National Roads Policing Operations and
Intelligence* (NRPOI) are delighted to offer a collaborative +3 PhD
studentship, starting in September 2019
and fully funded by the Economic and Social Research Council CASE
studentship scheme (ESRC NWSSDTP).

The project is entitled *“Roads Policing Reimagined: Intentions,
expectation and experiences of a new roads policing tasking methodology”*

The successful student will work alongside *National Roads Policing
Operations and Intelligence* to qualitatively explore the experiences of
policy makers and practitioners working with a radically new operating
model and tasking methodology for policing the roads. The three year PhD
will be jointly supervised by Keele University (Dr Helen Wells, Dr Tony
Kearon,  Dr Diana Miranda, School of Social Science and Public Policy), and
NRPOI (Detective Chief Superintendent Paul Keasey)



Closing date for applications:  Monday 18th February 2019

Interview date:                         TBC

Start date:                                September 2019





Funding support is provided as follows: 100% UK tuition fees for 3 years
commencing 2019/0. Stipend support for three years at Research Council
rates (2018/9 stipend £14,777 per annum).
