Dear All,

We have a postdoctoral scientist position available for a membrane protein structural biologist to work in Liz Carpenter’s group in the Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC) in Oxford.

The group studies human integral membrane proteins involved in genetic disease.

We work with geneticists to identify genes that are involved in neuropsychiatry, cancer, rare and metabolic disease and inflammatory diseases.

We aim to produce protein, assays and structures,  as well as small molecule and protein binders.

Through this work we aim to understand the role of these proteins in disease and thus promote the development of novel therapies.

The SGC and the University of Oxford provide an excellent working environment for membrane protein studies, with access to world class facilities for all structural biology, biochemical and biophysical studies.
