Celebrating the life of an unsung hero. 

Trinidadian born Harold Phillips served Britain in WWII, demobbed by the RAF in 1947, but returned on MV Empire Windrush in 1948, and settled in Liverpool. Known then as calypsonian Lord Woodbine, he was the first mentor of          The Beatles.
