The Westminster Law and Theory Lab invites you to a workshop on the connection between art and law but this time from the artists’ perspective.
. Listen to the Artists! is a day of dialogues, open discussions and roundtables that attempt to trace the way contemporary art is changing and its newly forged connections
to notions of law, justice and responsibility.
. The discussions will focus on how art practice is moving away from the aesthetic and towards the affective; questions of habit and ritual that become embodied law; clashes
and negotiations with power; radical understandings of law that are spatialised, embodied, temporalised and atmospheric.
. The day ends with Merima Bruncevic’s Law, Art and the Commons (Routledge 2017) book launch
