Good afternoon, the ARA North West Committee are pleased to announce details of our upcoming regional meeting and training. This month's training will focus on digital preservation, along with the use of archives and records in court.

Date: Wed 23rd Jan
Time: 12:30-16:00

Timetable for the afternoon:

12:30-13:00, Arrival and refreshments


13:00-13:30, ARA NW regional meeting


13:30-13:45, Andrea Waterhouse (ARA NW Treasurer & Chair of Pay Review Group) - Update on Salary Recommendations


13:45-14:00, Rebekah Taylor (Archive Manager, Independent Office for Police Conduct, Hillsborough Investigation) - Research project on use of archives and records in court


14:00-14:30, Break


14:30-15:15, Jan Whalen (Digitisation Technical Manager at University of Manchester) – Experience of Preservica


15:15-16:00, Rachel MacGregor (Digital Preservation Officer at University of Warwick) - Experience of Archivmatica


16:00, Finish (opportunity to attend a nearby pub or similar for informal drinks to continue conversations/networking and allow those unable to attend during the day to stop by)
