This In Conversation event sees two historians Dr Imaobong Umoren, Assistant Professor in International History at the LSE and Dr Dawn-Marie Gibson, Senior Lecturer in American History at Royal Holloway University discuss the theme of gender history and biography.

Dr Umoren is currently working on a biographical project relating to the first female Prime Minister in the Caribbean and LSE Alumna, Eugenia Charles. Dr Gibson is writing a biography of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. During the conversation, a range of issues will be discussed including the role of race, masculinity, femininity, faith, conservatism, and transnationalism. After the talk, a question and answer session will occur.
