Dear Peter, We have same problems on doing GCM estimation and second level PEB for 30 Subjects. The error messages are as below: Warning: Matrix is close to singular or badly scaled. Results may be inaccurate. RCOND = -1.000000e+00. VL Iteration 59 : F = NaN dF: 1183.8146 [-4.00] Warning: Matrix is singular, close to singular or badly scaled. Results may be inaccurate. VL Iteration 64 : F = NaN dF: 1183.8146 [-4.00] Done 'Specify / Estimate PEB' Done I also run the spm_dcm_fmri_check(GCM), the explained variance of all subjects are > 10% (mean up to 30%) and small A-matrix parameters >0.1.
