This looks very much like a scam perpetrated either by hacking or by email spoofing. I would recommend not replying either to the list or to the address given. Perhaps someone who knows Jon better than I might contact him at a different address to alert him to this message, in case he isn't aware of it and taking steps to remedy the problem already.
