I wasn’t with the business I work at when they first initially introduced MHFA’s, so I am starting from scratch.
However I am looking at a few areas:
COMMUNICATION to colleagues – This will be done via our internal comms – Team Talks/TV’s/Email comms/Newsletter/Back of toilet doors on clip frames.
MHFA’s – We will eventually have them in every warehouse & distribution centre, on every dept, on every shift, and they will have a bi-monthly meeting/get together with myself to off load/compare good practice/share good/bad experiences, without personal information.
ADVERTISING – We have communication boards at every site which shows our MHFA’s face and the site they work at, so no matter which site someone is at, they know who to contact (I’d like to put what department they’re at also to make it easier for people to find the MHFA).
Data will be collected firstly from our colleagues on site using our text service, and then our MHFA’s before they start their training, and every 6 months to see if there is any change.

In January I will have completed 2 co-delivered 2 day MHFA courses to employees in the business I work in, so I will be a registered MHFA instructor. And my aim is to have MHFA across all our warehouses and distributions, on every department, and on every shift (following them having the 2 day course with myself).

Hi Mandy, Sarah and anyone else with experience of working with MHFA. I am going to be rolling out MHFA on site in the new year as a 12 month intensive focus initiative on increasing mental health awareness and support. I would appreciate any tips or pointers please.

Note your comment to Sarah about MHFA. In my previous role we set up, rolled out and then supported through OH, a MHFA team. Hoping to do similar in my current job. Happy to discuss if needed.
