Mabwysiadwch gi bach y Nadolig hwn – helpwch ni i ddod
o hyd i Lotte Mae CBHC a thîm y prosiect Llongau-U yn gofyn am gymorth yn ystod tymor yr Ŵyl i olrhain hanes ci bach a gafodd ei adael ar long a’i fabwysiadu ar y môr yn ystod
gwanwyn 1918. Wrth ymchwilio i storïau a dyddiaduron anghyhoeddedig y rheiny a oedd yn gysylltiedig â rhyfel y llongau-U ar hyd arfordir Cymru yn ystod y Rhyfel Byd Cyntaf, daethpwyd
o hyd i hanes capten llong-U llwyddiannus, Alfred von Glasenapp, a chi bach ‘del’, a ailenwyd yn Lotte, a fabwysiadwyd gan y tanforwyr ar fwrdd yr
yn digwydd bod ar fwrdd yr ETHEL a oedd yn hwylio o Gaerdydd, a beth a ddigwyddodd iddi ar ôl iddi gyrraedd yr Almaen. Os gallwch ein helpu i orffen stori Lotte, dewch i gysylltiad! |
Adopt a pup this Christmas
– help us trace Lotte The RCAHMW and the U-Boat Project team are asking for help this festive season in tracing the story of a plucky pup abandoned and then adopted at sea during the
Spring of 1918. Research into the stories and unpublished diaries of those involved in the U-boat conflicts around the Welsh coast during the First World War has uncovered the
story of a highly decorated U-boat commander, Alfred von Glasenapp, and a ‘cute’ little dog, renamed Lotte, who was adopted by the submariners aboard the
U 91, after they found her abandoned on one of the ships they attacked. The U-boat Project is focussing on telling the untold stories of those involved in the conflict and would like to be able to finish the tale of how Lotte happened
to be aboard the ETHEL sailing from Cardiff and then what happened to Lotte after her arrival in Germany. If you can help us finish Lotte’s story, please get in touch! |
