Hello everyone,
MIT Libraries have recently launched
‘Calm-to-Go’ collections: library users can borrow items such as weighted shoulder wraps, lava lamps and noise-cancelling headphones to help relieve stress, tension and anxiety. They can keep them for up to two weeks at a time to use at home.
I’m aware that many NHS libraries are involved in staff/patient wellbeing initiatives, for example Reading Well/Books on Prescription collections, fiction books, wellbeing DVDs, provision of jigsaw puzzles or colouring sheets.
What I would like to know is if anyone has tried a similar scheme to MIT with objects/items specifically for stress/anxiety relief? Or perhaps you’ve got items for use while in the library? Any info would be much appreciated.
Thank you and best wishes,
Camila
