We're looking at introducing a lot more live interpretation and wondered if people had excellent reenactors (individuals or troupes) that they might be able to recommend?

We're looking at all kinds of big event days at the moment, but especially Victorian scientists/archaeologists/explorers, Saxons, Tudor scientists/herbalists/astronomers and Queen Elizabeth I.

Dear Gem,
I think this subject comes within the list's remit------? Apologies for incorrect posting if not.
At Alleyn's School we are putting together an exhibition to mark our 400th anniversary. Down the line we would like to possibly link digital content to the display boards. We did think that QR codes were the way forward but feedback tells us that people, including teenagers, don't really have the QR scanners on their phones.
What do heritage sites do about this please? We need a low key and cheap solution. The way our site works means that we cannot issue listening devices.

to download a separate App.

Brooklands Museum is located just outside of Weybridge, Surrey and is set in 30 acres, which includes the most significant and complete sections of the former race track. The site includes a number of important historic buildings all of which have played a central part in Brooklands contribution to the development of motorsport and the aviation industry. Beyond our large object collection of aircraft, including Concorde, and an array of 1920s and 30s bespoke racing cars, we have an impressive archive of documents, drawings, photographs technical manuals, costumes, uniforms and art work. Our collection also includes a rich array of personal items that belonged to key personalities who raced cars, flew aircraft, who worked here at Brooklands - or even did all three. This unique collection helps brings the past to life through the individuals who dared to push the boundaries.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Collections Department at Brooklands Museum in the role of Collections Care and Documentation Officer. We are open to applications from people who have a range of experiences and while a formal museum qualification is desirable, it is not essential. We are looking for the right candidate who wants to take the next step in their career. This is a new position and comes at an exciting time to join the Museum. We are building on the success of our award-winning permanent galleries, The Brooklands Aircraft Factory and Flight Shed.

Our collection is at the core of how we tell the fantastic stories of Brooklands, the people that worked here and their contribution to both motorsport and aviation throughout the 20th century. This post is fundamental for us to continue to deliver a visitor experience that uses the collection in a dynamic way.
